I think it's perhaps a true statement to say that if your physical health is good, your mental health and well-being will be very close, if not on par.

I joined the gym a year ago now as I needed an outlet, a need to make some changes. I was getting older and becoming drastically aware of that. Having an active job helped me on my way, but it wasn't enough and being in my 40's I knew I had some work to do so I jumped in with both feet. If you have thought about joining and are not particularly looking forward to wandering from high street store to store looking for the right gear to wear, see what Amazon has available, you might be surprised.

It was tough when I started, I didn't have a lot of motivation and I struggled with the lack of changes after several heavy sessions. One of the most important things to remember is that you must persevere with your training regiment. You must not neglect certain parts of your body, everything needs to be focussed on.

It is something you can do on your own, but I have seen and felt the benefit of going with friends. The encouragement, and celebration of hitting goals is a feeling you cannot really replicate outside of this particular lifestyle. We live in a creation age these days. I have seen so many different items, and products that can help you work out at home if your time is short.

I normally begin my workout with cardio, as it gives me the chance to warm up. I use the rowing machine, and normally work between 45 and 60 minutes. After this, I move around the various weights machines focusing equal amounts of time on different muscle groups.

Well, today is the 8th of March. The year 2023 is well underway, I don't know whether it's just me, or time is literally flying now that I have passed my 40s. I will be heading to the gym soon as I am off work. I find it really useful to me personally when I focus on a decent cardio workout a few times a week, and then perhaps work on other parts of my body on the other days. I would also like to commit time to running, but this has never particularly interested me. Leave me a comment on how I can start this.

Since I began committing to the gym fully back in early 2022 I have seen some great changes to not only how I look in comparison to previous years, but also how I feel. I have more energy, and I appear more confident to others. My friends have told me this. Of course I appreciate it, but never seen it myself. It is nice to receive positive feedback of any kind.

It's not only about the physical aspect though. I built this little blog spot website because I really wanted a presence online, even in the smallest possible way. I wanted to chat about my various interests and eventually, if I am good enough, use this to display my stories, if ever published.

Today is Sunday the 12th of March. Less than 24 hours ago, it was snowing where I live, and ice age weather. Now it's 9 Celsius and the sun was blazing this morning. I am off to the gym in a bit. Today's focus will be rowing machine for about 45 minutes to 60 minutes, then several sets of reps on my arms. Following this I will focus on my legs, then to finish, my stomach. I have found this to be a great routine that really works for me.

Here are some muscle workouts you may find useful to try by yourself, or with a friend. My main focus is to tone up and work on my core mainly. I also plan to improve my overall fitness due to an incoming career change.

A good word though, I strongly recommend some decent headphones or earbuds perhaps. It's a lot better than listening to the same horrendously organised playlists on the radio day in and day out.

From now though, the 22nd of March; I really need to focus on running, and a bit more cardio. I am undergoing a fitness and medical test soon which will determine if I am good enough for the life changing event that I am about to undertake. The thing is, I have never truly been interested in running. How can I make it more interesting?

Good morning. It's the 29th of March already. We are well into 2023 now and a lot of people have probably started their new year goals. If you've ever gotten to the gym and realised that you have no idea what to do in that particular session, or have tried several different things but aren't noticing results. Perhaps try a workout plan. Here are some ideas on the link that may be beneficial.

Always remember. No matter what your juggling in life, whether it's work commitments, family time, or other obligations. How you feel after a gym session will improve everything you involve yourself in. Exercise increases your overall health and your sense of well-being, which puts more spring in your step every day. It also has some direct stress-busting benefits. It pumps up your endorphins. It improves mood, you feel and look better, you have more energy and confidence. The good endorphins are addictive and show that your brain is also enjoying it so. Win win!

Good morning and Happy Easter Sunday to you all. It was a long day yesterday. I started work at 5am through until 3pm. Then decided to hit my local gym in the City for an hour. I started my workout on the rowing machine, but could only manage 30 minutes before investing some time in my arms. I'm still glad I pushed myself to go, it was absolutely worth it. The advantages and benefits of pushing yourself to go to the gym outweigh any feelings of 'it's a chore', or 'I cant be bothered, I'll leave it today.'

We get about 75 years if we're lucky. It's best to take care of ourselves to try and make sure that the allotted time we're alive is spent with a body that we do a lot with, physically. I think a lot has dawned on me since I dropped into my fourth decade, pretty much how fast life seems to speed up. I now feel the odd ache where I didn't 10 years ago!

The more I go to the gym, the more I find myself wanting to go. That really works for me. Here is one of my favourite quotes I read years: Enjoy your body, use it everyway you can. Don't be afraid of it, or what other people think of it, it's the greatest instrument you'll ever own. - Kurt Vonnegut.

I found this item on Amazon. It's a fantastic piece of kit for those who really like to embrace the outdoors for their health and wellness. It's a running harness with reflective detailing and capacity storage. It works differently to attaching your phone to your arm and having your keys rattle around in your pocket, so definitely worth a look!

The gym can almost feel like it slows time for you. It improves you in a vast amount of ways including helping you chase dreams. Discipline and obsession will get you closer to your goals than passion ever will. The gym is a place for therapy, where people go to face their horrors, and demons. Here in this space, you can take your excess energy, whether it's painful, or merely rage and leave it here once you've expelled it. The culture you find in the gym is one of the most supporting and uplifting communities you will ever be introduced to.

I have heard from a lot of different sources that going to the gym everyday can actually be worse for your muscle building than you think. This is because the muscle needs time to rest and repair, at least 48 hours to fully recover. The same rule applies to the central nervous system. Although it isn't my advice; it's probably a good idea to rest for perhaps 2 to 3 days a week if you are a beginner.
